I Am Tango By: Tango Lovers at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts
Ever wanted to watch an authentic tango? Well, if you have, you are in luck. The World Tango Dance Champions are headed to the Valley this Saturday, April 27, from 8 to 9:50 p.m. at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. The Good Life Festival at Encanterra
This Saturday, at Encanterra in San Tan Valley is celebrating the return of the anticipated spring concert series, The Good Life Festival. This year, the special guest is award-winning country star, Jake Owen. The spring festival experience will feature a day full of music, shopping, wine and craft beer tasting, cooking demonstrations, massage demos, and delicious bites from local vendors and food trucks. So come out and enjoy a fun “Barefoot Blue Jean Night.” Tickets range from $45 to $95 and can be purchased here. Chalk Art Festival at Tempe Marketplace and Westgate Entertainment District
Come out this Saturday to watch dozens of chalk artists hit the pavement during the 5th annual Chalk Art Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Artists from the Arizona Business Committee for the Arts (AZBCA) will craft colorful, eye-popping, dimension-bending illustrations on 6-by-6-foot canvas murals. The event will feature a space for the community to participate in free art lessons, a KidZone, as well as an opportunity for fans to take home their favorite piece. Also, from Saturday, April 28 through Saturday, May 5, the public will have the chance to vote on their favorite mural here. One lucky fan per venue will win the mural they vote for.
ameriCAN Canned Craft Beer Festival at Margaret T. Hance Park
Calling all beer lovers! This Saturday in Downtown Phoenix, the ameriCAN Canned Craft Beer Festival is taking place and you should be very excited. The festival will feature more than 250 canned craft beers from over 100 local and national breweries across 40 states, including beers not previously available in the state of Arizona. Other highlights include live music, food, a beer science garden, seminars, beer Olympic games and a rare beer garden. The festival takes place from 3 to 7 p.m. and tickets range from $35 to $45. Downtown Scottsdale’s communal beer garden and eatery, Brat Haus, is hosting its fifth annual Sausage Fest and will be donating a portion of the proceeds to Honor Flight Arizona, a nonprofit foundation that flies World War II veterans to visit their memorial in Washington D.C. This sausage-themed celebration includes live music, yard-style games like corn hole and life-size Jenga, a stein-holding competition, wiener dog costume contest hosted by Lucky Dog Rescue, Arizona’s largest brat viewing and a chance for you to vote for the next “Sausage King/Queen”.
