In honor of Valentine's Day next week, AZFoothills.com introduces you to some of our favorite Valley couples. First up, Natalie and Travis Hearn (senior pastor at Impact Church in Scottsdale). Read on to learn the sweet place they met--and got married. 

 

How long have you been married? Almost 19 years.

How did you meet? We met when Travis was a worship pastor at a church where Natalie's family attended. Natalie visited the church one weekend, and we’ve been together ever since!

Where were you married?  We were married in the very same church where we met!  

What is your favorite Valley date night? With our busy schedule and three kids, ages 7 to 16, any time alone is a favorite date. Although our favorite dates often include dinner and a movie, we are purposeful about spending as much time with each other as possible, even if it is just running errands together.

What is your favorite thing about one another? Our favorite thing is one another's love for God and love for people.

What is the key to a successful marriage? The key to a loving marriage is outlined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8...“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
