Start the New Year off on the right track. "The World's Greatest Car Auction" is arriving full-throttle in our very own backyard of Scottsdale, AZ. Exotic car-lovers can peruse the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction’s display of rare and unique autos January 15-22 at the Westworld of Scottsdale, while also enjoying various retail, dining and entertainment options to supplement the experience.
Where to Pre-game
A day before bidders and spectators walk among the classic cars at the auction at Westworld, the public can experience the Road Rally Cruise-In and the Scottsdale Road Rally on January 14.
At the Road Rally Cruise-In about 100 vehicles, including Hot Rods, Resto-Mods, classics, new collectibles and muscle cars, are invited from the local community and car clubs to participate. This is by invitation only.
At 3 p.m. the vehicles will be escorted out of the parking lot for a road rally heading north on Scottsdale Road and east on Indian Bend to the Scottsdale Pavilions, between Pima and Loop 101. Everyone is invited to come out and take a look.
The Auction
Attracting both national and international visitors, the 2012 Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction will feature more than 1,000 collector and special interest automobiles, as well as daily "automobilia" auctions, over nine days. More than 350 vendors and exhibitors will also be on hand.
The premiere classic car auction company presents a wide variety of cars; from a 2012 Ford Boss Mustang Laguna Seca Coupe and a 2005 Ferrari 575 Superamerica retractable hardtop coupe to 1959 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible and 1932 For Custom Roadster, every car is either completely unique or very rare.
