The holidays are the perfect time to celebrate the arts around the Valley with your family and friends. Here are some of the best venues to see ballets, concerts and symphonies to attend before you ring in the new year!

ASU Gammage

Ballet Arizona

Phoenix Symphony

The Mesa Arts Center

Experience the beauty of Ballet Etudes 25th Anniversary performance of The Nutcracker between Dec. 8 and Dec. 11 at the Mesa Arts Center in the Piper Repertory Theater. Tickets are on sale for $22-$27. Buy tickets online or by phone at 480.664.6500.

The Mesa Arts Center is also hosting other holiday specials like Holiday Celebration with the Symphony of the Southwest, A Christmas Story, A Holiday Doowop Show, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever with EV Children’s Theater and many more timeless classics. The Herberger Theater Center

Between Nov. 28 and Dec. 2, come see the light-hearted, fun, “holiday cabaret” show, Holidazed Express. Tickets are advertised as $6 for this unique performance at Herberger’s Lunch Time Theater. Showtimes are 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on performance days. http://www.herbergertheater.org/holidazed_0

Frances Smith Cohen’s Snow Queen is one of the “Valley’s holiday favorite for the entire family.” Student, senior and adult ticket pricing are available for performances of the Hans Christian Andersen classic. Showtimes are between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. between Dec. 3 and Dec. 18. Tickets are available online. Also at the Herberger Theater are An Irish Nutcracker and Spirit of the Season music concert.

The Hale Center Theatre

The Hale Center Theatre is a historically beautiful venue in Gilbert offering two quality and affordable shows especially for the holidays.

A Christmas Carol runs from Dec. 2 to Dec. 23 at The Hale Center with most of its showtimes at 7:30 p.m.. Showtimes and tickets are available online. www.haletheatrearizona.com.

It’s A Wonderful Life will be running through the month of November to jumpstart the holiday spirit. From Nov. 10 to Nov. 26, enjoy the show that will be sure to capture your heart.
