For 40 years, Barrett-Jackson has stirred up quite the excitement with their auctions that feature one-of-a-kind automotives. Known for the large collection of exclusive automobiles, the company has been steadily boosting its presence from right here in Scottsdale.

The story of Barrett-Jackson began as an ordinary car sale between Scottsdale’s own Russ Jackson and Tom Barrett, and the rest was, as they say, history. From custom cars to classic treasures, the Barrett-Jackson envelopes the whole realm of automotives for car buffs to “oooh” and “ahhhh” over.

With tremendous success in the first year, Barrett-Jackson will be back again in Orange County, California for the second annual auction from June 24-26. Having to use the renowned Scottsdale Auction tent is evidence of the increasing interest and popularity in the OC of the already esteemed event—the tent is the length of nearly two football fields! Barrett-Jackson also takes the show on the road with annual events in Palm Beach, Florida and Las Vegas.

“Southern California is the epicenter of American car culture, and Orange County is home to some of the most passionate and knowledgeable auto enthusiasts and collectors in the country,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO, Barrett-Jackson in a prepared statement. “During the Orange County auction, we will offer a diverse collection of automobiles that will cross the block and will provide various activities the whole family will enjoy.”

This collection includes a 1973 365GTB/4 Berlinetta, an award-winning hot rod sought after around the country. Also to be seen at the auction is a rare 1960 Shelby GT-350 Mustang and 29 other vehicles consigned by renowned car collector David “Dave” Parker.

An all-ages event, the 2nd Annual Barrett-Jackson Orange County Auction will offer several souped-up activities to keep the fun at a constant green light for the whole family.

So, car lovers, unite! If you can’t make it out to the OC to enjoy this car spectacle, don’t worry—it’ll be a channel away. The SPEED network will present 16 hours of live coverage from the auction.
