Spring is a time for birds chirping, cool breezes, and comforting weather. It’s also a time for some non-profit event fun. Non-profit events help raise money for many different causes; and what separates them from other charities is that they do not distribute their funds to shareholders or owners. Below are some of the upcoming events that you can look forward to this spring!
To start off the month of March, on the 5th the AZ Walk to Silence Tinnitus will be taking place at the DC Ranch in Scottsdale. The American Tinnitus Association helps raise money for people who have the chronic condition of Tinnitus or commonly known as “ringing in the ears”. The event will start a 7 a.m.
Another event to lookout for on the 5th is The Hope Ball at the Talking Stick Resort and Spa in Scottsdale. Led by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society they look to help raise money in trying to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, and Hodgkin’s disease. The event starts at 6 p.m. and they are expecting to raise close to $200,000 this year alone!
Go Daddy is known for their racy commercials but that doesn’t mean that they don’t like to raise money for a good cause. On March 6th Go Daddy presents Tour For Life. All profits made will go to helping the Southwest Center for HIV and AIDS. What will one get with going to this event? Well, participants will get to enjoy a self-guided tour inside some of Paradise Valley’s most luxurious and beautiful mansions! Tickets start at $75 and the tours go from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on locations visit www. Swhiv.org.
Another charity event taking place on March 11th may just be the most exciting one by far. How much fun would it be to hangout with the Suns Basketball team and the coaches? Well you can find out if you choose to attend the Suns and Stars Gala at the Talking Stick Resort. Not only do participants get to hangout with the Sun’s players, they also get to feast their ears on the Grammy winning band Huey Lewis and the News! All proceeds will go to different non-profit organizations that help raise money to serve children in areas such as: education, health, the arts, and sports. An individual ticket starts at $500 and the event starts at 6:30 p.m.
So, if you find yourself looking for something to do this spring, whether out of boredom or having the need to want to help out, these are four events that are sure to make a difference.
