Beer N’ Bones at Arizona Museum of Natural History

In need of an excuse to enjoy some craft beer? The preservation of history might work! At 6 p.m., join the Arizona Museum of Natural History Foundation for Friday night fundraising, science activities, craft beer and food trucks. Attendees must be at least 21 years old. Tickets range from $20 to $45 and can be purchased online. All proceeds will be put toward the museum’s Southwest Gallery updates, other programs and research.

MonsterBash Food Truck Movie Night at Centennial Plaza Park

Enchanted Pumpkin Garden at Carefree Desert Gardens

Need some pumpkin-carving inspiration? This Friday, the Enchanted Pumpkin Garden is kicking off its 10 days of Halloween fun in the desert. The Garden will be open from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Villafane Studios’ world-renowned carvers will showcase their pumpkin carving abilities until 6 p.m. There will also be haunted houses, a beer garden, live music, a pumpkin patch and so much more! Southwest Cider Fest at Cider Corps

What better way to spend your Saturday than sampling cider? From 3 to 8 p.m., the Cider Corps will host the second-annual Southwest Cider fest where guests can enjoy craft ciders, food trucks, activities and more. Tickets range from $35 to $50. Every purchase includes a commemorative glass and 15 to 20 drink tickets.

Join Balance for the second-annual yoga fest consisting of 12 workshops, four master classes, lectures, food trucks and wellness vendors. O.H.S.O Oktoberfest

An Oktoberfest benefiting furry friends? Now that is prost worthy! From 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., O.H.S.O Brewery and Distillery located on Indian School Road invites locals to enjoy German food and beer on its dog-friendly patio. All proceeds will be donated to the Arizona Animal Welfare League. Tickets are $39 and include a “Saving Pups Pumpkin Lager,” brats, sliders, macaroni and cheese, salad, dessert, goody bag for first 100 guests, a brewing experience and tapping party raffle ticket and music by Chicks with Picks.

Vixen Dance Party at Hotel Valley Ho

Featured in Elle and The New York Times, the Vixen workout combines dance, music, fashion and fitness. Beginning at 10 a.m., owner of Fit 6-7-8, Raquel Kahn, will lead a one-hour dance session. Attendees are encouraged to wear shorts or leggings, a comfy tee, shoes and their favorite shade of lipstick. Be sure to bring a swimsuit for post-workout cocktails at the OH Pool. Tickets are $25 and include parking, 20 percent off OH pool purchases and Suja Juice samples.

The PHX Zine Fest offers creative locals a chance to view and showcase self-published zines, indie comics, photography books, perzines, political pamphlets and more, in a safe place.
