Arizona’s Halloween is back and better than ever with unique innovations that will undoubtedly instill fear in even the most daring adrenaline junkies. From virtual haunted houses to interactive scares, Halloween 2019 will be difficult to outdo.

Haunted Graveyard Arizona in Scottsdale
With 34 years of terror under their belt, the Haunted Graveyard continues to offer locals uncanny, fear-fulfilling Halloween experiences. The sight consists of seven horrifying attractions that owner and creator Chris Brikett continues to innovate in horror. From Oct. 27 to Oct. 31, the Valley favorite will reopen its doors to Arizona’s most daring residents. Children 13 and younger are not encouraged to attend but are welcome. The Haunted Graveyard is free to attend but donations are greatly appreciated.
Sanctum of Horror in Mesa
Rated the No. 1 attraction by Arizonahauntedhouses.com two years in a row, Sanctum of Horror’s chilling haunt will exceed your expectations. The haunted house consists of a main character, the murderous Lenore, her traumatizing childhood home, a graveyard and an asylum. In addition to the horrifying storyline, the Sanctum’s next-level set and costume design is a sight for pure eyes looking to be spoiled. General admission tickets are $22, and the attraction is open from Sept. 27 to Nov. 2.
Fear Farm in Phoenix
Not frightened of haunted houses? Fear Farm, complete with intimidating corn mazes, dispirited clowns, blaring chainsaws, masked psychopaths, extraterrestrial beings, wicked witches and more, loves a good challenge. On Sept. 20, the notorious Halloween attraction reopened its doors to the public. Tickets range from $24.99 to $29.99 and can be purchased online. We recommend visiting Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. Jackson Robert Scott, Georgie in "It: Chapter 1" and "It: Chapter 2," will be visiting for guest autographs and photos.
13th Floor Haunted House in Phoenix
Fear Farm’s ability to fulfill the most twisted of fears called for a second haunted house. From Sept. 28 to Nov. 2, the 13th Floor’s zombies, monsters, mummies and werewolves will lure Arizonians back into the craved vulnerability that accompanies Halloween. Experience the terror that moved USA Today to name 13th Floor one of the top five most terrifying haunted house in the nation. Tickets range from $24.99 to $32.99 and can be purchased online. If you cannot make it to Fear Farm on Oct. 12 Jackson Robert Scott, Georgie in "It: Chapter 1" and "It: Chapter 2," will also visit 13th Floor on Oct. 25 at 8:30 p.m. for guest autographs and photos.

Go big or go home. In this case, going home may be tempting. From Sept. 28 to Nov. 2, Arizona’s largest haunted house will reopen. The ground’s three blood-chilling haunts, Startled Darkness, Slayer’s Slaughter House and Epic Fear will return. New this year, Scarizona has added Operation Zombie storm, an interactive zombie paintball shoot and Virtual Terror, a five-minute virtual tour of a haunted house. After a terror-filled night, Scaregrounds offers their guests a chance to unwind in their Beer and Wine Cemetery where “spirits come to life.” Tickets to all five attractions are $37.95 and can be purchased online.
AZ Field of Screams in Glendale
Rumor has it AZ Field of Screams is actually haunted. Believed to be built over an old cemetery, the corn maze will welcome back fear-seekers from Oct. 2 to Oct. 31. As you venture through the terror-filled corn maze and encounter horrifying views, just know the chills running down your neck are more than your view. No worries though, the attraction welcomes guests to celebrate the happier side of Halloween by taking home a pumpkin from its pumpkin patch. Zombie WarZ in Chandler
“The Walking Dead,” “I Am Legend,” “World War Z”; fan favorites that have made us frighteningly obsessed at the thought of a zombie apocalypse. This October, play on that fear at Zombie WarZ’s interactive zombie apocalypse experience.
