With a local staff and a volunteer base of more than 1,500 community members, Komen Phoenix is committed to fulfilling the Komen Promise: to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality of care for all and energizing science to find the cures. Komen Phoenix is best known for its signature fundraising event – the annual Komen Phoenix Race for the Cure. Coalition of Blacks Against Breast Cancer

The Coalition of Blacks Against Breast Cancer (CBBC) is the only group within the Phoenix Metropolitan area that specifically targets Black men and women of African descent diagnosed with breast cancer. National Breast Cancer Foundation

In 1991, Janelle Hail founded the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) with the help of her husband and family. A breast cancer survivor herself, Hail has made it her mission to educate other women about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. NBCF's mission is to save lives through early detection and to provide mammograms for those in need.
