Fox Tucson Theatre has been a favorite local hotspot for comedy, plays, movies, and music since 1930. Located in the heart of downtown, the theatre’s romantic setting is perfect for a night out. Here are some highlights of what Fox has in store for the remainder of 2012.
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
Saturday and Sunday, October 6 and 7, Fox will screen the film classic, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. The film tells a tale of two singers who travel to Paris on a great adventure. The 1953 classic will show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 to $7 per person.
The Music of Michael Jackson
In a tribute to Michael Jackson, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra will play music from the earlier Jackson 5 album all the way through to Thriller, The Wall, and Bad. Gavin Hope will be on lead vocals for the evening. The show is October 12 at 8 p.m. and tickets start at $33 per person.
Comedians of Chelsea Lately
Angel Charity is holding an event Saturday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Fox. The comedians from Chelsea Lately will bring their act to the Fox stage for this first time event. Proceeds will benefit Angel Charity for Children’s 30th year beneficiaries: Our Family Services and The Tucson Nursery School. Tickets start at $20 per person.
Jim Brickman
Jim Brickman has sold over 7 million records with his romantic piano sound, making him the best-selling solo piano artist of our time. “Valentine,” “The Gift,” “Love of My Life,” and “Simple Things,” are a few of his hits that will be featured. Tickets for the show start at $25 per person. The show will take place Thursday, November 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker
The Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker 20th Anniversary production will be featured at Fox Monday and Tuesday, December 17 and 18, at 7:30 p.m. The show, filled with 20 years of holiday spirit, features a Christmas tree that grows 7 stories tall, 40 top Russian dancers, falling snow, and more. Tickets start at just $27.50 per person.
