Calling all dog lovers—the “Dog Daze of Summer” event at Plaza Colonial is almost here. This hot event, taking place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 20, takes place at Tucson’s premiere art, design, gourmet dining, and boutique center. This gold-medal event takes place under the copper dome at the Southwest corner of Skyline and Campbell.
The event celebrates everyone’s favorite furry friends with a multitude of events around the plaza. Jane Hamilton Fine Art will present whimsical dog paintings by Louis Mason, while Elements will serve wine and cheese platters until 7 p.m. Schlomo and Vito’s are hosting “doggie” treats at the deli and water bowls in the courtyard for all four-legged guests.
The event will feature music by a DJ and a dog fashion show from Primadonna Boutique. The fashion show will feature the Southern Arizona Humane Society’s specially trained pups and will take place in the courtyard.
Bravo, Elements, Rug Resources, Sunset Interiors, Jane Hamilton Fine Art, and Mingle Salon will be featuring an array of dogs on site for adoption. Tavolino, My Closet, Armani, and other merchants are donating a portion of their profits from the evening to the Southern Arizona Humane Society.
The event, sponsored by Plaza Colonial Merchants and Romano Real Estate, is perfect for dog owners, or those looking to adopt. Even those without a pet can attend the event and help support the Southern Arizona Humane Society’s efforts to help get needy animals adopted.
