“The EVENT,” presented by Nova Home Loans, is an evening of food, wine, and live entertainment at La Encantada. The event, which benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson, is expected to host over 1,500 people for an evening of mingling and fun.
The 11th Annual “The EVENT” is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at La Encantada. The event will feature delicious eats cooked up by some of Tucson’s top local restaurants. Participating restaurants include Augustin Brasserie, Azul Restaurant and Lounge, GOLD Restaurant, Mays Counter, Pastiche Modern Eatery, RA Sushi Bar Restaurant, Wildflower, Zin Burger, and so many more.
Guests will be invited to sup wine and martinis provided for the event and listen to the talented live entertainment at the event. The George Howard Band, Kiss and the Tells, Tesoro, Jovert Steel Drum Band, Rescue Lights, and Jeff Lewis and Friends will all be performing throughout the evening.
“The EVENT” chair, Megan Jasper joined longtime BGCY Board Members, David Lovitt, Mark Irvin, and Laurie Wettershneider to give guests the opportunity to give back to the community while experiencing the lap of luxury. Proceeds of the evening will help save the lives of 8,000 at-risk youth club members, according to “The EVENT” press release.
Along with enjoying a night of mingling, eating, drinking, and enjoying music, guests will be giving children of the Tucson community a safe place to go after school, educational programs, sports leagues to participate in, and a caring staff to take care of them.
The Boys & Girls Club of Tucson has six clubhouses across Tucson that is conveniently located near schools in need. Members of the club are only charged $5 per school year to participate in the club, when true costs per person are over $700.
