Ben’s Bells
After losing their son, Ben, in an unexpected manner, Jeanette and Dean began to cope by therapeutically working with clay to make Ben’s Bells. With the help of a strong community, hundreds of people reach out every year to make bells that will be placed around the city in an attempt to pass along kindness and make the community a gentler place to live. Located on University Boulevard, U of A students and local citizens alike volunteer at Ben’s Bells everyday. Instead of catching up with a friend at the local coffee shop, take your coffee to go and chat while you paint.
