If you are planning to take a trip down to Tucson this holiday season and not sure what to do, look no further. Here are some upcoming holiday events that will surely get you and your family and friends in the jolly winter spirit.

Zoo Lights
For the entire month of December, Reid Park Zoo will feature a large collection of dazzling lights and animal-inspired light sculptures and displays. Cruise around the zoo and be prepared to be in awe with all the twinkling lights. There will be free cookies and hot cocoa available for $1 inside. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children from the ages of 2-14. Tickets can be purchased online. www.tucsonzoo.org/event/zoo-lights.

Christmas Apple Festival
Come out to the Willcox Community Center and enjoy a day filled with holiday arts and crafts. There will be entertainment and many fun prizes for you to enter and have a chance to win. Luminaria Nights
Luminaria Nights will be celebrating their 25th year by hosting another excitingly three-day holiday festival that will include more than 30 entertainment groups, decorated lights and trees, warm baked goodies and more. Event takes place from December 2, 3 and 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $5 for children. www.tucsonbotanical.org.

A Wee Winter Wonderland
The Mini-Time Machine, a museum of miniatures, will be hosting various holiday performances and activities including a visit from Santa, craft projects for kids such as creating a mini potted Christmas cactus and a gingerbread kitbashing contest. A Wee Winter Wonderland takes place on December 3, 10 and 17. Times vary for each day and is listed online. It is $7 general museum admission, $6 for seniors and military, $5 for kids 4-17 and free for children 3 and under. www.theminitimemachine.org.

4th Avenue Winter Street Fair
Along Fourth Avenue between Ninth Street and University Blvd, there will be an enormous winter street fair filled with more than 400 arts and crafts booths, more than 35 food vendors, live music and performances and an endless amount of festive activities for everyone to enjoy. The street fair is from December 9 to 11, starting at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and admission is free. www.fourthavenue.org.

Winterhaven Festival Of Lights
From December 10 to 25, walk or drive along this neighborhood and see a spectacular filled with decorated and gleaming holiday lights. Trolleys and wagons are also available through reservations online. Winterhaven Festival Of Lights will be accepting any canned food and donations for the Tucson Community Food Bank as well. www.winterhavenfestival.org 

Downtown Parade Of Lights Join downtown Tucson and celebrate with them their 17th Annual Downtown Parade of Lights. Bring your children, family and friends and find a spot along the route or seats at Armory Park to enjoy this very merry parade. The parade will take place on December 17 and will begin at 6:30 p.m. www.downtowntucson.org.
