Maya’s Farm
Maya’s Farm, owned by Maya Dailey, is a small farm dedicated to fresh, local and naturally grown produce. She operates as an independent business under The Farm at South Mountain. The produce available on her farm ranges from herbs and vegetables to specialty greens, including Tatsoi, Mizuna and baby collards. Typical vegetables like carrots, tomatoes and broccoli are available as well. McClendon’s Select
McClendon’s Select specializes in citrus fruits and honeybee products. (The partnership between the bees and the citrus create better-tasting fruit and honey.) All products are organic, hand-picked and individually inspected. All McClendon’s Select products can be ordered online and citrus orders will be delivered the same day. Some of the citrus fruits include navel oranges, Dos Rios red grapefruit, lemons and Honeybell tangelos. All fruits can be ordered separately or a box of mixed fruits is offered as well. Shamrock Farms
Shamrock Farms specializes in dairy products and has been serving Arizona since 1922. Sandy Kelly, director of marketing for Shamrock Farms, says the farm has more than 10,000 traditional and organic milking cows responsible for their farm-fresh milk. The farm provides consumers with several varieties of milk, sour cream and cottage cheese. “Our line of dairy is the freshest, best-tasting dairy around,” Kelly says. Schnepf Farms
Schnepf Farms specializes in organic peaches and farm entertainment. The farm has been in practice for more than 70 years and has something for everyone. The Schnepfs are the largest organic peach growers in that state and continue to harvest hay, tress, fruits and vegetables. The farm gets the individual involved in multiple ways. For instance, you can pick your own produce in the Organic U-Pick Gardens and Orchards. The Country Store and Bakery provides visitors with preservatives and bottled products, fresh-baked pies and muffins along with country gifts and crafts.
