My Sister’s Closet, Various Locations

My Sister’s Closet (pictured) recently celebrated 25 years in the Valley. Founded by Ann Siner, Jenny Siner and Tess Loo, the shop, which has four Valley locations, blows away devoted shoppers by offering top brands at up to 90 percent off (the shop specializes in designer clothing, handbags, shoes, hats, accessories, jewelry and much more).  Best of all, Loo and the Siner sisters have donated more than 30 percent of their proceeds to organizations every year, including the AZ Humane Society, Helping Animals Live On (HALO), Fresh Start, AZ Nature Conservatory, Southwest Wildlife Conversation Center, Defenders of Wildlife and many others.

Well Suited, Various Locations

Found next-door to its sister store, My Sister’s Closet (except for its Chandler location), Well Suited is a men’s resale boutique where gents can find everything from ties to sunglasses to designer suits (and just about everything in between) at 60 to 90 percent off retail price. Shop brand names like Hugo Boss, Versace, Prada and many more for the most fashion-forward head-to-toe looks.

My Sister’s Attic, Various Locations

Uptown Cheapskate, Various Locations

Uptown Cheapskate (pictured) is an upscale thrift and resale store that specializes in stylish, gently-used clothes and accessories at up to 90 percent off the usual price. There are four Phoenix-area locations (there are 40 countrywide!) that offers new and secondhand clothes, shoes, handbags and jewelry from your favorite brands. Kid to Kid, Various Locations

Little ones seem to outgrow their clothes, gear and toys every few weeks—so why buy new? Kid to Kid, a sister store to Uptown Cheapskate, has six locations in the Valley and buys and sells a wide selection of gently used children’s items, from Halloween costumes to video games to everyday needs (like linens and baby monitors).

Plato’s Closet, Various Locations

Have a teen at home? Visit a Valley Plato’s Closet to shop brands like H&M, Lululemon, Forever 21, Vans and many more teen-approved names. There are four Valley locations, plus two in Tucson, that sell trendy threads that are in good condition, with most stores selling sizes 0/1 to 18/20 for girls and women and sizes 28 to 40 waist for boys and men.

Urban Exchange, Scottsdale

With a focus on upscale merchandise at wallet-friendly prices, Urban Exchange in North Scottsdale carries desirable brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Chanel and many more from-the-catwalk names. Buffalo Exchange, Phoenix

Offering both new and recycled fashions, Buffalo Exchange has popular locations in Phoenix as two as two in Southern Arizona. Labels you’ll find gracing the racks include Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Topshop, Free People, Madewell, and J.Crew, among many others. The shop also has an eye on the environment via its Tokens for Bags program (pictured). Via the program, shoppers are offered a token in place of a bag, which they can donate to one of three local charities. For each token, Buffalo Exchange donates five cents to that charity. (The store raised more than $47,000 in 2016 alone.)

Over the Top Consignment Shoppe, Scottsdale

luxury names like Lladro, David Yurman, Baccarat and Tiffany & Co. are just a few of the brands you’ll spy perusing Over the Top Consignment Shoppe, which opened in Old Town Scottsdale in 2011. The shop specializes in designer jewelry, luxury crystal, fine porcelain and beautiful works of art—up to 35 to 80 percent off retail prices.
