Already an adored luxury destination for a beachfront getaway, Los Cabos welcomed four properties in recent months that are adding even more splendor to its sandy shores.

That’s My Jam

Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos

Opened in early 2019 on the shining shores of Cabo San Lucas, Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos is within the Diamante Cabo San Lucas complex. The sumptuous all-inclusive hot spot has made its mark on the area thanks to its luxury amenities and Hard Rock’s too-cool music theme that infiltrates its properties. The 639-room hotel offers guests eight dining outlets, three sleek lounges, six pools, the Rock Spa with 36 treatment rooms, the Body Rock fitness center and access to the Cabo San Lucas Country Golf Course (which is home to one of the longest holes in Mexico at 610 yards). The posh paradise excels at providing a dream vacation for guests of all ages, as there are designated family and adult-only areas. On the top of every kiddo’s list are the bowling alley and the Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club, while the deluxe family suite is a popular option for travelers needing ample space. But for a true star-power staying experience, it doesn’t get cooler than the Rock Star Suite, a two- or three-bedroom option that is complete with VIP check-in, a spa tub, a complimentary 25-minute massage at Rock Spa, a private balcony and, to really live like music’s finest, a Rock Royalty Personal Assistant.

Heart and Solaz

Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, Los Cabos

At Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, Los Cabos, guests enjoy the best of both worlds: thrilling and tranquil. The resort, which opened in late 2018, is perched between the bustling and buzzy city of Cabo San Lucas and quiet and quaint historic town of San José del Cabo. The 128-room property overlooks the Sea of Cortez in the heart of Baja California Sur and many aspects of the resort pay homage to the area, featuring the works of many local talents—like chefs and artists—to ensure that each guest’s experience at Solaz is authentic. The overall design is contemporary with a seamless blend of the indoors and out and eye-catching original works of art throughout (stars of the indigenous gallery include a 43-ft.-long whale skeleton and a historical map collection). Guests can indulge at Solaz’s five unique restaurants and lounges, take a dip in five pools, soak up the sun on more than 4,000 square feet of white sand beaches and savor some “me” time in the Ojo de Liebre Spa. At the heart of the Solaz experience is giving guests the chance to grow closer to the soul of Baja. In order to do that, the resort team offers once-in-a-lifetime adventures and educational opportunities for vacationers: swimming with whale sharks and a private helicopter trip to take in rare cave paintings, for instance.

Mar del Cabo2web.jpg

Chic Boutique

Mar del Cabo

Mar del Cabo made its welcomed debut on Baja Peninsula after a $4 million renovation late last year (the property was formerly Marbella Suites). A classic, beachy boutique hotel, Mar del Cabo offers comfort and minimalism, as it was created as a white canvas with chic design touches and colorful accents (including the deep blue of the Sea of Cortez and the beautiful gold of the beaches that surround). Outside of its good looks, the refreshed property dazzles guests with its high-end service, top-notch culinary delights, a serene spa and an ocean-front pool for cooling down. An intimate property, Mar del Cabo has 46 one- and two-bedroom suites and two super-swanky penthouses. Each spacious unit features a kitchenette, a terrace with sitting area, a separate living area with sofa and a bathroom with step-in rain shower so lazing the day away is definitely on the to-do list at Mar del Cabo.
