Downtown Gilbert will soon have a speakeasy to add to its growing list of restaurants and bars. The White Rabbit<\/a>\u00a0is slated for a fall opening and will be located in the Heritage Court Building on Gilbert Road and Cullumber Avenue, complete with a secret door and password required for entry. Along with a secret entrance, the bar will also be decked out in the style of the Prohibition era.\u00a0The plan for the basement bar comes from Gilbert entrepreneurs Nick Medina and Corey Potts.<\/p>\n

\u201cGilbert is the perfect place for this concept because while it has many great dining destinations, we are bringing the first authentic high-end\u00a0bar concept to the area,” Medina said in a news\u00a0release.\u00a0“When guests enter, they will feel like they are stepping into a true speakeasy experience.”<\/p>\n

Patrons will be able to sip on classic and signature craft cocktails and fine whiskeys, along with a wide selection of spirits, wines and beer. There will also be charcuterie boards and olive trays to keep things classy.<\/p>\n

So how to get in? Guests will first have to visit the website and register to receive the secret password for the evening. Then they’ll be able to provide it at the hidden entrance to gain access.<\/p>\n
