The Lost Lake Festival<\/a> at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix Oct. 20-22, brought together more than 45,000 attendees to celebrate the music, food, art and culture of the Valley. The first-ever event featured more than 50 musical performances playing across three stages with acts including The Killers, Chance the Rapper, Major Lazer, ODESZA, The Roots, Run The Jewels, Pixies and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe inaugural Lost Lake Festival exceeded our expectations. Our mission was to bring people together for a unique event celebrating the culture and community of Phoenix, and we accomplished that,\u201d said Rick Farman, co-founder of Superfly and Lost Lake Festival. \u201cWe thank the city of Phoenix, all our partners and vendors, the creative community and attendees for their support and energy in making the event a success\u201d<\/p>\n

The festival highlighted more than 30 top local chefs, restaurants, and breweries representing the Valley\u2019s vibrant food and drink scene, with local eats at Phoenix Flavors, <\/em>BBQ at The Lava Pit, <\/em>craft beers at Brewpark, <\/em>and mezcal and tequila flights at Nectar of the Gods<\/em>. James Beard award-winning chef and author, Chris Bianco, served as the festival\u2019s culinary ambassador bringing in local eateries such as Clever Koi, Ocotillo, Gadzooks, Stock & Stable, Churn and Pokitrition. Local breweries including SanTan Brewing Co., Phoenix Ale Brewery, and Huss Brewing Co. were featured in the festival\u2019s Brewpark.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lost Lake also highlighted more than 20 regional artisans at FOUND: The Lost Lake Festival Marketplace<\/em> where attendees could shop for local goods from the Wooden Nickel store, Warbird Press, Apache Skateboards, Crane & Carbon, Keep it Wild, Phoenix Flower Crowns, Antoinette Cauley Art and others.<\/p>\n

Festival-goers had fun at The Lost Playground<\/em> playing larger-than-life games. Created by Phoenix-based Walter Productions, The Lost Playground<\/em> reimagined backyard and billiard games in unexpected and oversized ways. From a Giant Pool Table played with bowling balls to Colossal Croquet so large players could follow their ball through the hoop. When the sun went down the fun continued as the games all lit up with colorful LED and glow-in-the-dark features. Walter Productions also created large metal lotus flowers that floated on the park’s Bird Lake. This beautiful art installation turned into a surprise as darkness fell and the flowers shot 40-foot flames into the air that danced along to music.<\/p>\n

The creativity didn’t stop there. Renowned Phoenix-based artists, the \u00a0Fortoul Bothers<\/a>, created custom art pieces that framed the three main stages. Attendees watched as nine local artists painted large murals throughout the weekend including work from JB Snyder, Adam Montoya, Anthony Denaro, Clay Halling, David Bessent, Isaac Caruso, Lyllan Maney, Lisa Con Hoffner and Jeff Slim. Other art installations and creative elements delighted attendees as they walked through the festival grounds to discover all that Lost Lake had to offer.<\/p>\n
