A decade has passed since the first self-titled Backstreet Boys album was released to the world and Nick Carter was thrust into the musical spotlight. As a member of the best selling boy-band of all time, Carter’s experience spans many albums, tours and performances.\u00a0Today, he is currently touring to promote the release of his third solo album All American,\u00a0<\/em>released this past November. With a successful run on Dancing With the Stars,\u00a0<\/em>the upcoming release of Dead7<\/em>, a zombie Western movie in which he co-writes, directs and stars in, and singing “Larger Than Life”\u00a0alongside Gigi Hadid, Carter has been busy doing what he does best: putting on show. We had the chance to ask Nick a few questions and along the way learned his favorite local restaurant and what’s next for the Backstreet Boys.<\/p>\n

AFM: What are you looking forward to the most about performing here in Phoenix?<\/strong>
\n<\/span>NC: Phoenix has always been one of my favorite places to tour. I’ve had some great memories both with the boys and on my own in Phoenix – there’s just something about the way the crowd is that really gets me pumped and I find myself going above and beyond to take the show to the next level.<\/p>\n

AFM: What is one of your favorite memories from Arizona?
\n<\/span><\/strong>NC: Tough to choose just one. We played Comerica Theater back in 2013 on our “In A World Like This Tour.” It had been a minute since we’d played in Arizona, and from the moment the intro music started, the audience was electrifying. I had such a blast that night.<\/p>\n

AFM: Do you have a top spots to go out and have a good night in Phoenix?
\n<\/span><\/strong>NC: When we\u2019re on tour, we don\u2019t get a lot of time to really spend in a city other than at the venue. We\u2019re usually done by 11 and on the road by\u00a0midnight<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

AFM: What is one of your favorite Phoenix restaurants?
\n<\/span><\/strong>NC: I\u2019ve been to a Mexican restaurant called The Mission and it was amazing! Definitely need to experience more.<\/p>\n

AFM: What is a \u201cnormal\u201d day for you when you are not on tour?
\n<\/span><\/strong>NC: I’m always keeping myself busy. I’m one of those people that doesn’t know how to not work. Lately, if I’m not working on music, I’m doing stuff for my movie (Dead7<\/em>) or getting some other stuff together for other projects I’m working on. \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

AFM: What\u2019s been your favorite part about making All American<\/em>?
\n<\/span><\/strong>NC: The whole experience for me has been incredible. I love making music, I love seeing the fan’s reactions and feedback, and I especially love building a live show around it and taking the experience on the road.<\/p>\n

AFM: What can we expect to see from you in 2016?<\/strong>
\n<\/span>NC: There’s a lot more coming in 2016 and I’m really excited. In April, the movie I’ve been working on called Dead7<\/em> is premiering on SyFy, and I’ll be doing some stuff to support it. The boys and I are doing our first Mediterranean cruise in May and I hope to see everyone there.
