The 2025 Toyota Tacoma<\/a> Trailhunter isn\u2019t just some boring repeat of the 2024 TRD Pro. Its got a unique personality all its own, and a very different skill-set to boot. Standard gear and updates are aimed at a slower, more intentional and technical off-roading adventure. Some highlights to drive the point home would be Old Man Emu shocks that have been specifically tuned for rock crawling and difficult overloading. There\u2019s a high-mounted air intake so you can confidently splash through streams. Serious underbody armor with steel rock rails and skid plates to protect all of the important bits and pieces in the undercarriage. There\u2019s even an onboard air compressor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Broad as the famous Toyota Tacoma line-up already is. With options for no-frills work trucks, all the way to fully equipped off-roading machines. Two seats or five. Two doors or four. Five or Six feet bed sizes. On and on with a staggering total of 11 trims to choose from. Truly, there\u2019s a Tacoma for every kind of buyer, but the Trailhunter is unique, and manages to still carve out a place for itself in this packed line-up.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While each Tacoma has it\u2019s levels of capabilities off-road, with the TRD Pro shining especially bright; the Trailhunter leans more towards technical overloading. Slow, deliberate, long-distance adventures, with upgrades that will allow you to confidently punch deeper and further down whichever tricky terrain lays between you and your destination. In addition to the mechanical upgrades, the cosmetic upgrades are menacing and fantastic. The special Oxide Bronze paint is striking against the bronze Toyota heritage grill, steel front skid plate and 18\u201d bronze-finished wheels. You\u2019ll also get signature LED headlights and an integrated light bar. Rigid Industries LED fog lights, recovery hooks in red, rock rails and more. The effect is a Tacoma that looks purpose-built and ready to tackle whatever the trail throws its way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just because it\u2019s rugged on the outside, doesn\u2019t mean the interior doesn\u2019t offer plenty of creature comforts. Commanding the front dash is an enormous 14\u201d display with sharp, bright graphics. Truly, your Android Auto and Apple CarPlay never looked better. Seats are heated, cooled and trimmed in SofTex material. There\u2019s Qi charging, a heated steering wheel and color palette that brings in bronze elements from the outside, to tie in the interior. JBL filled the cabin with 10-speakers. Including a subwoofer and an additional portable speaker so you can keep rocking out once you\u2019ve reached your camp-site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a price tag slightly under the TRD Pro, the Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter comes uniquely equipped for the low-speed, technical terrain where 99% of vehicles on the road would’ve long since turned back. If deep woods camping, or going where most wouldn\u2019t dream is high on your list, the options are limited, but the Tacoma Trailhunter is right up there near the\u00a0top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
