First launched in the 2006 model year, the Cayman is a coup\u00e9 derived from Porsche&#8217;s second generation Boxster Convertible.<\/p>\n<p>In the tradition of quality and innovation set into place by the original Cayman S model, the R sends the brand into the performance future by stripping it down to its bare essentials, drastically reducing unneeded weight in favor of high output.\u00a0 Beyond the weight savings, the R gains 10 horsepower on the Cayman S. The 3.4-liter six-cylinder develops 330 horsepower.
