We have all had those dreams when we were younger: I want to be an astronaut, I want to be a marine biologist, I want to drive around in a giant golden egg inlayed with silver and diamonds(manufactured in India).\u00a0 Well, thanks to the good (and possibly a tad bit eccentric) people at Tata Motors, that last one can finally\u00a0become a reality.<\/p>\n

Tata recently unveiled it\u2019s impressive and stunning Nano Gold Plus.\u00a0 It is just like the regular Tata Nano, which sells in India for roughly $2,500, and then saddles it with 176\u00a0lbs of 22 karat gold, 33\u00a0lbs of silver, and over 10,000 precious gems and stones.\u00a0 This raises the more than fair price of $2,500 to a slightly more costly $4.6 million.\u00a0 That second price may seem a bit high, but when you drive down the street in a car laden with 176 lbs\u00a022 karat gold, 33\u00a0lbs of silver, and over 10,000 precious gems and stones, and people stop and stare, and think what they are going to think, well, you will know where the extra still roughly $4.6 million went.\u00a0 Will the gold melt under a hot Phoenix Arizona sun?\u00a0 Well, only one way to find out.<\/p>\n

As of now this vehicle is a one off, meaning that this is it, if you want to get one, you have to buy the only one.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t appear that Tata is planning on making any more, if for no other reason than that this appears to be a very clever marketing scheme to draw attention to the Tata family\u2019s Gold Plus Jewelery stores.<\/p>\n
