So I am taking a break from spying on the Fashion Week shows, in no time at all I will be extolling the virtues of the Paris collections but I have to send a little hair and makeup love out to the girls. I have been asked on several occasions as to how to get the look in the latest Gucci Fall\/Winter Ad Campaigns. The gorgeous images set in the Marrekech desert take Gucci visually back to the Tom Ford days when in more than one instance we saw models romping through rocky terrain much like this one. Somehow there is something so raw, beautiful and fantastical about the juxtaposition of luxury goods in the dry desert.
\nOf course for those of us who live with this heat day by day\u2026.not so magical is it?<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In any case, Mert & Marcus did it again by creating the most amazing bronzed and sultry spread that Gucci has done in a while. Models Raquel Zimmerman, Joan Smalls and newcomer Nikola Jovanovich stretch it to the leggy, lip- pouting limit in these smoldering images.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So if you are wondering how to transform your locks into the cascading tumbles of curls that Raquel exhibits in these pics, here are a few tips.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

First on wet hair start with a little bit of volumizing spray like Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray, comb through to distribute evenly. Next dry hair with a big round brush and while hair is still warm set with large Velcro rollers to give the hair volume and bounce without having to backcomb the roots to oblivion.. Let the hair cool completely <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Once cool unroll the hair and in sections using a 1 inch barrel iron, curl the ends of the hair to mid length, then roll the curls up using your fingers and secure with a clip or bobby pin at the root. Again allow curls to completely cool. Spray with a strong hold hairspray like Elnet by L\u2019Oreal. Remove the bobby pins and shake hair loose with your fingers, brush lightly to smooth strands without dragging down the curls. If needed backcomb the roots and smooth with a double bristle brush like Mason Pearson.<\/p>\n

Once you have the hair in it’s sexy place, to recreate the bronzed goddess makeup look try Nars Highlighting and Blush Duo in Orgasm and Laguna these two shades will give you the perfect amount of contouring and shimmer. On eyes try Nars Rajasthan eye shadow duo which includes a creamy metallic beige and a blue-black charcoal perfect for recreating the Sharon Tate-esque eyeshadow look on Zimmerman. To round out the look, cover lips with a bit of foundation, then top them with Nars Sexual Healing lipstick, it\u2019s my go-to shimmery p[ink shade of the moment.<\/p>\n
