What a wild and wonderful weekend I had. It was after all the dawning of my twenty-fifth anniversary of my twentieth birthday (wink, wink). So I ventured into some uncharted territory. Not one to do the Scottsdale bop\u2026 the gang and I club hopped around to various hot spots throughout the evening. Though I am rarely the kind to pick apart passersby unless someone has perpetuated a huge fashion violation, I confess I was really hoping to see some Olsen twins-esque hipness, but instead this little excursion spawned a fountain of fashion suggestions.<\/p>\n

\nAt our stop in Pussycat Lounge I must say I saw some delightfully darling girls wearing what I could only describe as my old regalia circa 1984.updated of course in kindler gentler touches. Then there were the \u201clet me show some skin sisters\u201d, but before you think I am the prude let me clarify, I am all for flaunting it if you\u2019ve got it, when it\u2019s done right and when you don\u2019t have to spend every two seconds pulling up (or down) your dress and checking to see whether your tools are peeking out. So whether you are a kitten, a cougar or a puma here are some great options for PL.\n<\/p>\n

\nLittle sequin shorts like these from Urban Outfitters look absolutely fabulous on the dance floors but be sure to pair them with patterned or opaque tights so they look \u201cRed Carpet\u201d rather than Daisy Duke on New Years Eve. Add a pair of killer ankle boots (like these from Aldo<\/a>) and a satin tee and you will no doubt be the Alpha Kitty\u2026if there is such a thing.\n<\/p>\n

\nThen my friend JC dragged us over to Dirty Pretty to meet some friends and all I can say it that the atmosphere made me miss my over the knee boots and my gaggle of chain necklaces. Nonetheless I again felt nearly compelled to hand out my styling card to a few gorgeous girls with outfits gone tragically wrong. A pair of Joe Jeans denim leggings (or jegging as I like to call them) would have been perfect for the occasion paired with a Juicy Couture sequin top (one of Rachel Zoe\u2019s favorites on Piperlime<\/a>, a leather jacket and a knock me down Robert Lee Morris – Elizabeth and James feather ring.\n<\/p>\n

\nOur final stop of the evening was at the ever-popular W Hotel. Amidst the stilt-walking Nutcracker, ice skating pairs, and girl in the snow globe (fa la la la Holiday charity event!). I found a mostly fashionable crowd except for the few who love an extra side of cheese with their partying. I would have loved to have seen an inkling of the W chic that is often found in NY or LA like this satin Sheath Dress from White House Black Market paired with this House of Harlow gold cuff at www.singer22.com,<\/a> and topped with a prim trench from J Crew or Burberry to complete the ensemble.\n<\/p>\n
