First off, let’s settle this question once and for all\u2026 No I did not attend The September Issue preview on Sunday and for those of you who were texting me vigorously, I missed you too! In defense of my absent nature let me clarify or justify as the case may be. I love Vogue, and I have always adored the tantalizing Grace Coddington even back to her days as Beatrix Millers jr at British Vogue. I became aware of her in the early 80\u2019s when to even find a British, French or Australian Vogue meant a journey to LA or NY.
\nHer work with Sarah Moon and of course Guy Bourdin\u2026 was phenominal. I am of course a fan of Anna too despite her ever present armor or perhaps because of it\u2026.still she conveys a sheer brilliance and these days she could teach a thing or two to guests at the VMA’s and half of Hollywood. So I will watch with pulse thumping and relate to on- set disasters like a celebrities hair gone wrong, I myself have been there a time or two. For now I sit firmly in the present to report a few more very wearable Spring 2010 shows.<\/p>\n

Diane Von Furstenberg created another \u201cI need this\u201d collection that\u2019s a fusion of Egypt meets safari topped off with pre-Rafealite hair adornments and playful pops of colors.
\nEverything from flowing jersey, to maxi dresses, to shirt dresses and hippie inspired frocks. This collection actually made me want to wear color\u2026 a novel, if often unheard of habit.<\/p>\n

One of my favorites thus far is Derek Lam his chic urban woman was a delicious mix of forties meet Studio 54. fresh floral dresses, high waisted shorts and plenty of crepe de chine. Colors ranged from bold to sultry and silhouettes from slinky to curve hugging-definitely worth putting on your warm weather list of what to buy!<\/p>\n

I have always been a Rachel Roy fan and was completely bursting when I first heard of her diffusion line Rachel by Rachel Roy, wearable, affordable and hip, so I have waited in anticipation of what this collection might bring. Gone are the girly looks from seasons past replaced by a more serious come hither tone, even the suiting was a sexy kind of smart with a Gucci meets Perry Ellis vibe.<\/p>\n

Lastly every time I glance through the racks of Rebecca Taylor I am smitten, this season is no exception. Perhaps we should dub her Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm since the clothes had such an optimistic vibe while maintaining a sense of cool. Prints were a plenty along with lots of leg and shoulder baring looks. <\/p>\n
