One thing that’s cool about Valley events, each year they try to top the year before and make it better than ever. This year, it’s the 3rd Annual Hotel Valley Ho Fashion Show on Water, aptly named “Spring into Summer 2009,” and with all the goodies they have in store, it’s sure to be an event to remember.<\/p>\n
I’ve been the past two years and this event is one that doesn’t disappoint. It’s the only fashion show on water in town. And by water I mean Ford Robert Black models strutting their stuff down the middle of the Hotel Valley Ho pool on a plexi-glass runway. They’ll be modeling the latest in spring and summer fashions from Fleur’t boutique in North Scottsdale.<\/p>\n
If you haven’t been before I’ll let you know that it’s definitely one of Scottsdale’s seen and be seen events. Last year a reported 1,000 guests attended so make sure to book your cabanas early.<\/p>\n
The festivities open with a cocktail reception and music by the ever-so-popular DJ P-Body. A few surprises are in store for this Friday’s event like an opening act to the show put on by the University of Arizona’s synchronized swimming team. Synchronized swimmers at a fashion show? I’m not sure what that exactly entails but I’m definitely curious, to say the least.<\/p>\n
At the show, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe by Mercedes-Benz USA and Schumacher European, Ltd., will also be unveiled. And all guests will receive a VIP pass to the official after-party at Dirty Pretty Rock Lounge.<\/p>\n
In addition to a goodie bag, guests will also be able to enter to win a slew of fabulous prizes. There will be giveaways provided by Issac Jewelers, Carat Smart Diamonds and Marice Lacroix timepieces.<\/p>\n
Put on a good fashion show in town and you can pretty much guarantee I’m there. But when you throw in fabulous prizes, entertainment and cocktails then yeah, I’m definitely there. Plus, Arizona Foothills Magazine is one of the event sponsors, you can’t go wrong with that!<\/p>\n
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Junior Achievement Foundation.<\/p>\n
