Nominees for the Council of Fashion Designers of America\u2019s annual CFDA Fashion Awards were jointly announced by CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg and CEO Steven Kolb at the Bowery Hotel in New York Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

Fashion favorites Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and Joseph Altuzarra were all nominated for Womenswear Designer of the Year, while The Row\u2019s Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were nominated for the second time for Accessories Designer of the Year, along with Wang and Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCullough of Proenza Schouler.<\/p>\n

The Row designers, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, have been nominated for the second time for CFDA Accessories Designer of the Year.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Nominees, like Wes Gordon (Womenswear) and Jennifer Fisher (Acessories), of the subsequent Swarovski Awards will hope to receive both monetary sponsorship and precious Swarovski stones.<\/p>\n

A handful of awards \u2013 including the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award (Tom Ford), Media Award (Paul Cavaco), Founders Award (Bethann Hardison), Board of Director\u2019s Tribute Award (Ruth Finle) and International Award (Raf Simons) \u2013 are also doled out to honorees selected by the board itself instead of vote count.<\/p>\n

The winners of the awards will be announced June 2 by host John Waters at Lincoln Center in New York City.<\/p>\n
