<\/p>\nI definitely wasn’t feeling it for fall, but the jumpsuit has totally grown on me for spring 2009. From romper, capri and long versions to sleeveless and shortsleeved ones, there’s just about any jumpsuit to suit any gal.<\/p>\n
The funny thing about the jumpsuit is it started out as such a utilitarian garment. Mechanics wear them, babies wear them, skydivers wear them, astronauts wear them and the one-piece article of clothing is now back in fashion for the ladies too.They first started to appear on the fashion radar around the 1960s, became really popular in the 1980s and have been in and out of fashion ever since. But for many, the jumpsuit still conjures up connotations of Nascar drivers, pilots, janitors or entertainers (think Elvis Presley, Britney Spears and any other concert diva that comes to mind).<\/p>\n
