Though I was certainly hoping to see many a runway dress on Sunday night\u2019s Oscars red carpet, I was actually quite happy to hear and see that Hollywood came out in custom dresses by our favorite designers: Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen, Jennifer Garner in Gucci, and Renee Zellweger in Carolina Herrera were just a few of the custom gowns that found their way to the big night (rumor has it Anne Hathaway ditched her custom Valentino\u2026). <\/p>\n

All this talk of custom gowns and hearing the names of some of our favorite designers from the mouths of young beauties reminded us that new fashions are still coming down the runway in Milan. The Armani name was undoubtedly represented on the red carpet on Sunday\u2014did you see Naomi Watts in that amazing Armani Priv\u00e9? Well, the Giorgio Armani Fall collection might be a far cry from that crazy hot feminine metallic dress with its boyish trousers and suspenders, but fashionistas everywhere will be scrambling for what the collection notes are calling \u201cdecidedly avant-garde\u201d looks.<\/p>\n

There are so many amazing looks in this collection that I wish I could show them all to you, but of my favorites is this amazing velvet gown with sparkling bow at the neck. <\/p>\n

This embellished cropped white blouse is and trouser combination screams Parisian chic, even in Italy and I will do just about anything to get my hands on a pair of these fantastic suspenders. <\/p>\n

Dolce & Gabbana were a bit prophetic with their highly Catholic collection: full of mosaics inspired by Sicily\u2019s Cathedral of Monreale. The first look is inspired and the crowned beauty makes the whole visual experience a bit surreal. <\/p>\n

A bejeweled shift dress makes wearing religious artwork look cool and oh so tempting while ladies will certainly be going gaga for the mesmerizing red dress crafted of what looks like pieces of crushed glass (aka jewels made to look like a tile mosaic). <\/p>\n

Dolce & Gabbana do what they always do best with this collection, that is, take an idea and make it the most romanticized version of that idea possible. And in my opinion, it never fails them. <\/p>\n

As a fashion lover I tend to thrive on the fantasy that the industry creates and if I could, would without a doubt prance around in looks straight from the runway (crowns and all). So, who is your favorite fashion fantasy creator (Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs etc.) and would you be daring enough to take your fashion fantasy to the streets?<\/p>\n
