Have you heard of Muze clothing?<\/p>\n
If you haven’t, here’s a short introduction: Local friends Bill Deacon and Michael Dimond decided to launch a clothing line in August of 2006 that celebrates classic movie lines. The duo has always been fascinated with the pop culture phenomenon of\u00a0 movie “one-liners” becoming classic phrases among friends.\u00a0 The result? Muze clothing, a collection of T-shirts that couple creative designs paired with a one-liner that pays tribute to some classic movie. Deacon and Dimond believe the T-shirts are a statement, just like a sports fanatic may wear their favorite team’s jersey. The brand became Muze since taking movie lines and applying them to the real world is termed “muzing.”<\/p>\n
Now that you’ve got all the background, here’s the newest, coolest promotion Muze clothing is now running, the Muze for Our Warriors campaign. The contest is set to benefit members of the American military service that have been wounded fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
American military service members and their supporters can submit their favorite movie line and design that expresses the motto of defending their country for their fellow Americans by fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan. All the submissions will be reviewed by a panel of celebrity judges and the winning T-shirt design will be incorporated into the Muze clothing line. All of the proceeds from the sale of the winning design will be donated directly to the Wounded Warrior Project.<\/p>\n
It’d be pretty cool in itself to see your T-shirt design and line be incorporated into a clothing line, not to mention to know that your design is directly aiding wounded soldiers. But Muze clothing is also giving away prizes to the winner that are pretty stinking cool.<\/p>\n
The winning T-shirt designer will be flown with three other friends from a continential U.S. location to the shirt launch ceremony on May, 16th, 2009 at the Playboy Mansion. They will also be visited by each member on the panel of celebrity judges for a full-day of training with their unit and receive shirts for each member of their unit.<\/p>\n
The Muze clothing line can be found at local boutiques like Moody Blues, Scottsdale Jean Company (Scottsdale and Peoria), heidi Boutique, Sabrina’s Boutique, Village Health Clubs and Spas, Brass Heart, Apricot Lane (Glendale location), and Piece by Piece Wear in Tucson.<\/p>\n
