Those of us that got our start before Kate Moss showed her Calvin Klein clad self to the world and the AK’s who have no idea what it’s like to live or work in a fashion universe when Kate wasn’t the Queen.<\/p>\n

I remember exactly where I was when I first saw those delicate features and what seemed like a tiny frame compared to the likes of curvaceous Cindy Crawford or Estelle Lefebrue and still today I am just as captivated by her. <\/p>\n

For December Vanity Fair Magazine features Kate channeling sex kitten Brigitte Bardot and a very revealing interview, that only VF could scoop. All in honor of Kate’s 25th Anniversary in the modeling world. And trust me this one digs deep about her vulnerability, bad breakup with Johnny Depp and those famous Calvin Klein ads.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Below from Refinery 29 <\/a> some standout quotes from Moss’ interview with Vanity Fair contributor James Fox, including the Johnny Depp breakup, the infamous CK brief ad, and her defining “heroin chic.”<\/p>\n

On Johnny Depp:
\n\u201cThere\u2019s nobody that\u2019s ever really been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said…. Like if I said, \u2018What do I do?\u2019 he\u2019d tell me. And that\u2019s what I missed when I left. I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust. Nightmare. Years and years of crying. Oh, the tears!\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On inventing the “heroin-chic” look\/being too thin:
\n“I had never even taken heroin \u2014 it was nothing to do with me at all. I think [photographer Corinne Day], she wasn’t on heroin but always loved that Lou Reed song, that whole glamorizing the squat, white-and-black and sparse and thin, and girls with dark eyes. She loved that look. <\/p>\n

I was thin, but that’s because I was doing shows, working really hard. At that time, I was staying at a B and B in Milan, and you’d get home from work and there was no food. You’d get to work in the morning, there was no food. Nobody took you out for lunch when I started. Carla Bruni took me out for lunch once. She was really nice. Otherwise, you don’t get fed. But I was never anorexic. They knew it wasn’t true \u2014 otherwise I wouldn’t be able to work.”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On regretting the infamous Calvin Klein shoot:
\n\u201cI had a nervous breakdown when I was 17 or 18, when I had to go and work with Marky Mark and Herb Ritts. It didn\u2019t feel like me at all. I felt really bad about straddling this buff guy. I didn\u2019t like it. I couldn\u2019t get out of bed for two weeks. I thought I was going to die. I went to the doctor, and he said, \u2018I\u2019ll give you some Valium,\u2019 and Francesca Sorrenti, thank God, said, \u2018You\u2019re not taking that.\u2019 It was just anxiety. Nobody takes care of you mentally. There\u2019s a massive pressure to do what you have to do. I was really little, and I was going to work with Steven Meisel. It was just really weird \u2014 a stretch limo coming to pick you up from work. I didn\u2019t like it. But it was work, and I had to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

On her present stability:
\n“I don\u2019t really go to clubs anymore. I\u2019m actually quite settled,\u201d Moss tells Fox. \u201cLiving in Highgate with my dog and my husband and my daughter! I\u2019m not a hell-raiser. But don\u2019t burst the bubble. Behind closed doors, for sure I\u2019m a hell-raiser.\u201d <\/p>\n
