Perhaps it is the popularity of DIY bloggers, Pinterest, and people wanting a fresh and fun way to express themselves, but it seems that new nail tutorials pop up almost everyday\u2026 and my niece and I seem to have tried almost all of them. It is the same scene every Sunday: a load of new nail polish colors, nail polish remover, cottons balls, Q-tips, toothpicks, paper towels, scotch tape, bowls, water etc. Everything we need to accomplish our nail masterpieces from tie-dyed nails to cute panda nails.<\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t experimented with the newest and most popular nail looks here are some we\u2019ve tried and loved.<\/p>\n

Tie Dye Nails<\/strong><\/p>\n

We just tried this one on Sunday and it is surprisingly easy; at least easier than it looks. <\/p>\n

What You\u2019ll Need:
\n– A small bowl (that you won\u2019t mind getting messy) filled with room temperature water
\n– 3 \u2013 4 Nail Polish colors and white nail polish
\n– A few toothpicks
\n– And Vaseline, lotion, or Scotch tape
\nHow-To:
\n1.\tFirst open all nail polishes, this will allow you to work fairly quickly.
\n2.\tPaint 1 coat of white polish for a base.
\n3.\tCover the skin around your nail and underneath with tape or lotion\/Vaseline; this will keep your skin clean.
\n4.\tIn whichever order drop nail colors into water (one drop inside of the other creating a bulls eye) and then use toothpick to make a swirly design.
\n5.\tDip nail in the colors you dropped in the bowl and repeat. You can use the toothpick to gather the leftover nail polish around your nail.
\n6.\tLet dry a few minutes and then add topcoat and remove tape or lotion\/Vaseline.<\/p>\n

Ombre Nail<\/strong><\/p>\n

This nail trend follows the Ombre fashion trends seen on the runway. There are a few different approaches to this look, but I find the easiest is to work with just two colors: a base color and a contrasting top color. <\/p>\n

What You\u2019ll Need:
\n–\t2 Nail Colors of you choice
\n–\tA makeup sponge
\nHow-To:
\n1.\tPaint on base coat until opaque and let dry.
\n2.\tPaint contrasting color onto the makeup sponge.
\n3.\tDab a layer onto the tip of your nail and repeat building more color as you go. The goal is to have more color on the tip of the nail. If the nail polishes dries up on the sponge cut off that section or try making the sponge damp, which will keep polish from drying as fast.
\n4.\t Finish with a topcoat. <\/p>\n

DIY Nail Stickers<\/strong> via The Beauty Department<\/a><\/p>\n

Do you ever wonder how Do-it-yourselfers manage the plaid look or plaster their nails with geometric shapes? Well the ladies at The Beauty Department let the secret out with these DIY stickers.<\/p>\n

What You\u2019ll Need:
\n–\tScotch Tape
\n–\tNail Polish
\n–\tScissors
\nHow-To:
\n1.\tWhile on the tape holder paint blocks of color onto the tape and let dry.
\n2.\tUse scissors to cute whichever shapes you\u2019d like: circles, triangles, hearts etc.
\n3.\tPlace stickers on nails and add a top coat.<\/p>\n
