Men’s Fashion Trends for Spring and Summer 2014

From London to Paris, trends like dark florals and athletic-inspired wear tied the spring 2014 men’s runways together. Be inspired and plan ahead for spring-summer with these trends fresh off the runway.

In Bloom
A masculine version of a dark tropical floral reigned across the spring runways.

Suit Makeover
This season, the suit gets a makeover. The stiff power suit is swapped in favor of longer jackets and looser pants in soft fabrics that create the illusion of moving, fluid lines.

Retro
Designers such as Missoni and Michael Kors harkened back to the ’50s and ’40s for spring/summer with high-waisted pants, spread collars and retro prints.

Sport
Sports and athletics are usually a common theme seen in men’s wear, but this season took it to a whole new level with contrasting colors and reworked prints.

Navy
There’s no doubt that navy is the color of the season for men’s wear as designers stayed faithful to blue for an entire outfit. While Giorgio Armani dressed it up, others, like Balmain, dressed it down with varying shades of denim.
