Another award show…another red carpet…some more fashion. You would think with the myriad of occasions provided us to ogle over celebrities that we would get tired of looking at “pretty dresses” and “sexy suits.” But let’s be honest how can anyone get tired of looking at beautiful people in beautiful clothes? After all isn’t that what fashion is all about?
With that said, I decided I would venture into the dense forest of red carpet photos from this year’s Tony Awards, while I sit here and chomp on my refreshing summer dessert of strawberries and Greek yogurt.
Looking rather slim and grown up in this Marilyn Monroe-eque, sexy, white halter dress is Ms. Emma stone, who has also become a blonde in recent days. So simple, so sexy, so Emma! With her is boyfriend and co-star in The Amazing Spiderman, Andrew Garfield. I think he looks adorable in his slim cut suit and skinny tie. The two make a fetching couple indeed.
I really thought that Jessica could do no wrong this award season… and especially after Cannes, but I’m not a huge fan of this Marios Schwab dress. Revealing can be sexy, but this just does not compliment her body…On the other hand, and I do like to leave with a positive note, her hair color is gorgeous.
I’ll be honest there is something I really love about Amanda Seyfried’s outfit. The dress is amazing with all of its embellishment and the purple looks great with her skin tone… the belt and clutch are not my favorite, but I can’t definitively say that it doesn’t work. What are your thoughts on this one?
Cristin Milioti got it right in her emerald silk chiffon gown a la Jason wu. Her Gold clutch made the prefect accessory as it reflected the color of her dress. Her matching earrings and bracelet worked well without being too … “matchy-matchy.”
Another lady that stood out from the crowd in bold color is Audra McDonald. This vibrant one-shoulder gown was actually made by costume designer ESosa. The dress was definitely worthy of Audra’s Tony for best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical.
Low cut, Red, Sparkling Beads, Spring 2012 and Naeem Khan were the only things you needed to make Beth Behrs of 2 Broke Girls look amazing. She sported the body-conscience dress with the utmost confidence… and perhaps that is all you really need after all.
