Wedding trends vary every year and the trends of 2015 are no different. Some styles have made an elegant return while less traditional styles have made a more jolting appearance. There's something to spark the interest of everyone. Have no fear - the ballgown or mermaid style you love can still be found, but it may be paired with a twist.

Off The Shoulder

Off the shoulder dresses are making a hot return. The shoulder-baring fashion offers a sense of romantic whim and also allows brides to cover their arms more without feeling like their dress is a full head to toe experience.

Hint Of Color

Color isn't just for the bridesmaids anymore. You can look for grays, greens, and blues to adorn the magazines this year. If you want something with a little more punch, various shades of metallics are available as a small accent or the full gown.

Tulle Everything

Some designers are creating tulle overskirts that allow brides to have the gorgeous ballgown effect down the aisle with less cumbersome and dance-friendly alternative underneath. The overskirt can also be used for a high-low effect with the tulle floating elegantly around the sides and back, revealing a shorter underskirt in the front.

Cut Outs & Crop Tops

If you're looking to reveal a little extra bit of skin, cut out and crop top designs may be right up your alley. Two piece dresses allow brides to show off their sleek waistlines in beach friendly looks. Cut outs allow dresses to reveal just small glimpses of skin in strategically placed cut out designs.

Plunging Necklines

The wedding plunge isn't the only thing you may be planning. Plunging necklines are a preferred element in wedding dresses this season. You have the option to show a little or show a lot with necklines that vary from a deep V and can go all the way down to the belly button.

Open Back

If you're not a fan of showing that much skin in the front, you may prefer a dramatic open back wedding dress instead. Elegant open back dresses offer more modest style in the front and a more contemporary and dramatic reveal in the back.

Capes

Capes aren't just for superheroes. Wedding trends showed capes of various sizes and styles with a flair for the dramatic. Some cape styles incorporated hoods as an alternative to the veil. Similarly to the veil, the length could vary from a shoulder covering piece or a full and length train.

Illusion Necklines

Get the best of both worlds with illusion necklines. The plunging neckline you want with the modesty your parents want can be achieved in the same dress with an airy, lacy neckline. The style offers a practical solution but is also elegant and a great way to achieve an eye-catching look without feeling the need to fully cover.

Collars

Most often when you picture wedding gowns, the collar is the last thing on your mind. This year though, collars are making a surprising appearance. They offer an elegant and regal feeling without the need for a dramatic train or ballgown dress.

20s & 30s Glam Revival

The sleek and lengthening lines of 20s and 30s fashion was enough to make a woman feel like a goddess. The style is seeing a revival, along with familiar features like fringe and silk. The styles offer a subtle elegance that is a throwback to yesteryears.

No matter what dress style you prefer, you're sure to see some beautiful new trends to accompany it. This year's wedding fashion found a way to offer the old, the new, and the blue.
