A Look into Barcelona of Catalonia

As you very well may know, it’s officially summer, which has been made perfectly clear by the relentless desert sun that so faithfully rears its ugly head each year. But instead of boring you with all the not so original ways to “stay cool” or “beat the heat,” I’ve decided to take you far, far away from here, away to a land revered as the Mediterranean’s most prized possession and Spain’s most colorful gem, a land known as Barcelona of Catalonia.

It is now my third day in the city that, if it were a man, I would say “he was the whole package.” Barcelona truly unites the best of all worlds, as it is a fascinating metropolitan grace land situated at the beautiful Spanish coastline where temperatures are never too cold nor too hot – they are perfect. Picture an artistic yet refined European city with breathtaking architecture, featuring a plethora of Gaudi’s jaw-dropping works sprinkled throughout; a vivacious nightlife; a Rodeo Drive high fashion quarter; a language that blends Spanish and French; and sparkling warm-water beaches where on-sand restaurants serving sweet sangria to oceansiders is the norm. Oh and did I mention the city somehow breeds an excess of beautiful Spaniards you swear could be featured on LA billboards? Before you head to the conventional and over-romanticized European hotspots, spend a weekend, week, month, year in the land of Barcelona, which to me, is set apart and set above the rest.

  1. From your fascinating, romantic and exciting description of Barcelona it sounds llike the perfect vacation spot.

  2. um… OMG – looks beautiful!! my friend just booked a round-trip flight in Sept. from Phx to Barcelona for $250. not kidding

  3. I was recently in Barcelona, and I loved it! Everything was amazing, the food, the nightlife the people. It was an amazing place. While I was there I rented an apartment for Barcelona-home, and it was what i was looking for. It was cheaper than staying in a hotel, it had a kitchen so I saved money, by not going out to eat all the time. It was in the city center, and I was close to everything. If you are coming to Barcelona, I recommend staying with them
