This Chef of the Year Will Cook Dinner for You and 40 Friends in Your Home

Celebration with nearest friends.

Want to take your next dinner party up a notch? The Friends of Child Crisis Arizona annual gala on Saturday, February 11 at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix will feature a killer live auction including an exclusive six-course, in-home dinner prepared by Thrillist Chef of the Year Silvana Salcido Esparza of Barrio Cafe for 40 guests.

If that’s not enough to impress your friends, attendees can also bid on a brand new 2017 Cadillac XT5 Crossover from presenting sponsor Arrowhead Cadillac during the live auction. Or put your money toward one of many silent auction items like a Warbird plane ride, jewelry, weekend getaways and concert and sporting event tickets.

Last year, the gala raised more than $450,000 for Child Crisis Arizona, which runs the only emergency shelter program for children from birth up to age 8 in Maricopa County. The agency also certifies foster and adoption families, operates Early Head Start and Preschool programs, coordinates home visitation services and runs family classes and workshops.

“There’s nothing as rewarding as raising important funding to help children experiencing a crisis and to support the kids in foster care who need safe and loving homes,” said Friends of Child Crisis Arizona Gala Event Co-Chairs Kate Dei Cas and Nicole Garcia. “We are so grateful for our sponsors, donors and supporters who step up each year and allow us the opportunity to fulfill our mission to help these children and families.”
