Valentine’s Day is just three weeks away, eek! If you don’t already have your plans locked down, the only professional ballet in the Valley has you covered. Ballet Arizona and participating restaurants have a sweet Valentine’s Day weekend planned with entertainment, eats and drinks on-the-cheap or even better, free!

The Entertainment

It’s an age-old tale like you’ve never seen it before. Ballet Arizona will bring the sweeping romance and profound tragedy of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet to life for Valentine’s Day weekend, Feb. 9-12 at Phoenix Symphony Hall. Combined with ornate costumes (no tutus!), original choreography and Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev’s score, Romeo & Juliet is truly a feast for the eyes and ears. The score is rarely heard in its entirety but will be performed by the acclaimed Phoenix Symphony from start to finish, making this the ideal show for performing arts fans. The romantic date night just got even more appealing! Ticket prices typically start at just $25, but for an even deeper discount, head over to Goldstar for a minimum $10 off tickets.

The Drinks

After you watch a performance of Romeo & Juliet, walk down the street to Noodle Bar. Show your Romeo & Juliet ticket to receive a free glass of Pasqua Passimento Rosso, a red blend from Verona, Italy – the setting for Shakespeare’s story! Its notes of berries and spices pair perfectly with Noodle Bar’s veal and beef Bolognese, chicken Cacciatore, or hearty Rolled Lasagna. Offer valid for one glass of wine from Feb. 9-12.

The Eats

Following your performance of Romeo & Juliet, head over to The Stockyards for a classic Valentine’s Day meal of steak, lobster or pasta. Show your Romeo & Juliet ticket for 10 percent off your total bill for up to 30 days after the performance.
