Fun contests and last Face of Foothills casting calls!

Contests that are both fun and challenging encourage participants to be the best they can be.  Face of Foothills 2012, Caitlin Wilenchik can attest from her amazing experiences as the official Face for the luxury publication this year.

This Saturday, AFM is hosting its last batch of FOF casting calls for 2013 at Scottsdale Fashion Square and La Encantada in Tucson, both from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. All ages, shapes, sizes and sexes are welcome! We are looking for the Face and personality that embodies the style, substance and sophistication that AFM represents. This year, the contest was split into models 18+ and models under 18 to 9 years old.

All participants will be awarded an extra 1,000 points for attending a casting call at the start of online voting on July 1.

If you can’t make it to either of this weekend’s casting calls, don’t despair! With just a click away, you can simply submit an entry via e-mail through June 10 at faceoffoothills@azfoothills.com, providing the following:

  • A head shot and full-length shot
  • Contact info including name, phone number and e-mail address
  • A few details, including age as of July 1, 2012, hometown, how you heard about the contest and if you are currently signed with an agency

Past participants of Face of Foothills have gone on to mold their modeling careers. Zandrea Penn has been picked as one of the Top Ten girls to be the new face of design label BCBG Max Azria, where she was flown to LA for an exclusive photoshoot.

She is the only girl repping Arizona in the contest and credits her experience as a Face of Foothills contestant that has helped her gain personal recognition.

You can vote for Zandrea here!

Another fun contest is the Vans Custom Culture, where high school students can enter to win support for their high school’s arts program. Kids from all over the country have been invited to ‘design’ their own Vans. Voting from the public will decide which five schools (one per region), will travel to LA for the exclusive final event at the Long Beach Museum of Art in May.

Designs from stars like Rachel Bilson, Lauren Conrad, Kristen Stewart Good and Lucy Hale have shared their own custom creations to support the competition.

Voting ends May 3, so vote now and find more information on Vans Custom Culture 2012 by clicking here.
