Q: What is a mommy makeover?

A: I’ve been getting a lot of mommy makeover questions recently so I thought I would take this opportunity to talk a little about what is involved in a mommy makeover and how you can choose what the best mommy makeover procedure is for you.

A mommy makeover is actually a general term for a procedure or set of plastic surgery procedures designed to help rejuvenate the breasts and body of patients who have had children. Most often, a mommy makeover is some form of tummy tuck and some type of breast rejuvenation procedure. Since the most common tummy tuck is a full tummy tuck and since most women desire fuller and perkier breasts, the most common type of mommy makeover is a full tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and breast lift. Knowing what the ideal mommy makeover is for yourself starts with defining what you would like to accomplish. Doing so will then determine what procedures are ideal for you in terms of your specific mommy makeover.

For example: The patient below had a full tummy tuck, liposuction of the waist, breast augmentation, and breast lift. The power of the mommy makeover procedure comes from choosing the right procedures to help you achieve your goal as well as having those procedures designed specifically for your body.
