March Superfoods

Spring is in the air, and along with it come some fresh and green superfoods for March. From rosy red radishes to the richest greens, get a spring in your step with these March superfoods.

Collard Greens

Tich in potassium, fiber and vitamins A and C, add collard greens to a traditional salad or simmer along with a meat dish and spices for a tasty entree.

Scallions

Noted to play a role in cancer prevention, sprinkles choped scallions over any dish to add an extra oomph of flavor that’s not quiet as strong as an onion.

Turnips

They may seem like an odd food, but turnips are rich in potassium, fiber, antioxidants and vitamin C. Keep the greens, which are loaded with their own health benefits, like vitamin K, iron and calcium. Toss into a salad or with other veggies.

Radishes

This spicy member of the cabbage family is rich in fiber, vitamin C, folate and potassium, and very low in calories.

Artichokes
