Haunted Houses in Phoenix 2012

Get ready for hair-raising chills and bloodcurdling screams when you check out one or more of these hot Halloween haunted houses in Phoenix!

1. 13th Floor Phoenix
What: At 60,000 square feet, the house takes visitors on an intense, graphic and theatrical line of fright, from a traditional spooky mansion to an abandoned asylum, then to a pirate ship and finally into a house chased by zombies. Also check out the new innovation of fear, Zombieland. When: Monday through Thursday from 7-10 p.m., and Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 7 p.m.-midnight. Be sure to double check the calendar online.

2. The Nest on the Gila River Reservation
What: The Nest returns with its ever-popular traditional haunted house, 3-D maze and pitch-black labyrinth. This year they make fear personal with the Nest utilizing radio technology in concert with social media to make the experience scarier than ever.

When: 7-10 p.m. Thursdays, Sundays and Halloween, Oct. 7-31; 7 p.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays, Sept. 28-Oct. 27.

Where: Rawhide, 5700 W. North Loop Road, Gila River Reservation.

Admission: $25.

3. Howl-o-Ween
What:
Watch The Phoenix Zoo as it transforms into spooky Halloween creatures like zombies, witches and vampires within the Fields of Fear. Creepy clowns lurk the Monster Midway, while daring guests can navigate their luck through the Maze of the Mind.

When: 6:30-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26-27.

Where: 455 N. Galvin Parkway, Phoenix.

Admission: $8, $6 for members.

4. AZ Field of Screams
What: AZ Field of Screams is a haunted cornfield maze planted over an old cemetery, where the dead are anxiously seeking revenge on anyone trespassing their grounds.

When:  7-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 5-27, and Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Where: Tolmachoff Farms, 5726 N. 75th Ave., Glendale, AZ

Admission: $16.

5. Arizona’s Original Scream Park
What:
If one haunted house isn’t enough for you, try four at Arizona’s Original Scream Park – Horror High, 3-D Fear Factory, Castle of Darkness and Goldminers Revenge. When you finally admit you need a break, grab some food at Monster Midway, stack up on glowing accessories and body jewelry at the Mon-Store booth or get your palm read at the Psychic Corner.

When: 7-10 p.m. weekdays, 7 p.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Open Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5-6; Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 11-14 and 18-21; daily, Oct. 25-Nov. 3.

Where: 8823 E. McDowell Road, Scottsdale.

Admission: $22 for two attractions, $27 for all four attractions

6. Panic Park Haunted House, The Pavillions at Talking Stick
What: 
Designed and crafted by a team of professionals with decades of Hollywood and Disney experience in putting together terrifying attractions, test your nerves at The Haunted Hollywood Back Lot Tour, Hellbilly Hideout and the Toxic Waste 4D Maze. For something less-scary (maybe for the little ones), the park also offers a variety of entertainment options, such as the live stunt show “How to Train Your Zombie,” the classic pumpkin patch, zombie paintball, the Eye Scream Kids Zone maze, and more.

When:  7-10 p.m. Sundays and Thursdays and 7 p.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays, Sept. 28-Oct. 31. Also Monday, Oct. 29; Tuesday, Oct. 30; and Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Where: 8800 East Indian Bend Road, Scottsdale.

Admission: $5 general admission.
