Ladies, nothing impresses a man more than the knowledge of great tasting beers and their breweries. Next weekend dazzle him with your new found respect for his lager and head over to the 21st Annual Great Arizona Beer Festival at Tempe Beach Park. Come thirsty and with your beer caps on because both of you will be sampling about every beer you’ve ever heard of and a lot you probably haven’t heard of, as 165 different brews will be flowing at this one-of-a-kind beer bash. Best of all the festival is giving one-hundred percent of its proceeds to Sun Sounds of Arizona, a reading service for people who are blind or whose disability prevents them from reading printed material.
The Festival, held Saturday and Sunday March 7 and 8, features tastings of more than 100 specialty and micro brewed beers, live music, games and fun for people age 21 and over. The Crown Kings and Mystic Blue will be center stage providing the musical entertainment.
Same as last year, the all-inclusive admission price is $40 in advance for general admission and $50 at the gate. VIP tickets are $80 in advance and $90 at the gate. Limited to only 500 a day, the “VIP Experience” gives those beer lovers extra VIP treatment with a private seating area featuring catered food, shade, separate restrooms, early one hour admittance, an event tee shirt and an awesome gift bag!
General admission and VIP tickets include entrance to the event, a souvenir tasting mug, 24 sampling tickets and enjoyment of live music on stage.
For those of you coming to watch your friends make fools of themselves and are appoied the designated driver, this year’s beer festival has created a special place just for you. The non-drinkers will receive a GA Designated Driver admission and gain entry to the festival, the music fun and games everyone gets to enjoy, but also gain admission to the Designated Driver Pavilion. This exclusive area is set-aside for designated drivers only and includes seating and tables to relax as well as special vendors for you and you alone! Designated driver tickets will be available for $20 (General Admission) and $30 (attending with VIP) each day of the event.
