This weekend Local AZ and Heirloom Farmers Market combines forces to bring a rousing Tucson food event on Sunday as well as coming soon Cocktails and Classics and Easter brunch options.

Viva La Local Food Festival – April 6

Come to the celebration of joyous local food from 9 am (farmers market begins) to 5 pm at Rillito Downs Park – 4502 N. 1st Ave. Tucson, Arizona 85718

Arrive early and get to know more than 80 of Southern Arizona’s best vendors at the largest Heirloom Farmers Market ever. You can shop and store your fresh purchases with the Veggie Valet while you visit your favorite local Southern Arizona restaurants, wineries and breweries.

 Enjoy performances from some of Southern Arizona’s finest local musicians. Learn about nonprofit organizations involved in building a strong local foods economy.

Free admission, $5 to park after 10:30 am, $5 tastings from 50 restaurants and a dozen local breweries and wineries, live music begins at 11 am

A Benefit: Cocktails and Classics

Friday, April 11

Tucson Mall Outdoor Pavilion located at 4500 N. Oracle Rd., the fun starts at 5:30 pm

Cocktails and Classics feature a live big band performance, swing dancing, creative cocktails and culinary treats from surrounding restaurants at Tucson Mall.   Local breast cancer survivors, dressed in pink fashions from the Tucson Mall retailers, will proudly strut down the catwalk in a celebration of life.

For the past three years, Tucson Mall Cocktails and Classics have brought the community together for a night of retro glamour and vintage lifestyle.

Cocktails and Classics will help raise money for Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance and Susan G. Komen® Southern Arizona. The innovative partnership reveals the many ways the arts can help to build community and support organizations and businesses.

Easter Sunday at the Ritz

Easter weekend will offer an exceptional dining experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, as the return of holiday brunch CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar is set for Sunday, April 20.

Presented from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the CORE brunch experience features traditional and holiday buffet favorites including fresh fruits, salads, breakfast selections, cheeses, charcuterie, raw bar, handmade sushi, main course and carving stations, and a special dessert spread. The brunch is priced at $80 for adults and $35 for children under 12, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required.

As an added holiday treat, children staying at the resort are invited to participate in the fourth annual Easter Egg Hunt, which is complimentary for all registered guests 12 years of age and younger.
