The Southern Arizona Roadrunners presents Thanksgiving Cross-Country Classic 2009 on Thursday, Nov. 26, at Reid Park in Tucson. The race benefits Toys for Tots and donations of new, unwrapped toys are encouraged.

The Thanksgiving Cross-Country Classic consists of separate men's and women's 5K races and a co-ed 1.5 M "fun run." Teams of up to seven men or women may be formed. Age groups include 12 and under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 5 year divisions through age 79, and 80 and over. Participants can register online or by mail. Registration on the day of the race will close at 8 a.m. Prizes include Brooks Running Shoes from The Running Shop, "turkeys," and pumpkin pies.
