UApresents has just announced its lineup for the upcoming 2010-11 season and there are some very exciting, first-time performers and productions making their way to Tucson this year!
Ballet Tucson: Dance & Dessert
Ballet Tucson is offering a performance fit for anyone’s taste – literally. There is nothing sweeter going on in Tucson this weekend, March 12 through 14, than the company’s annual Dance & Dessert showcase at the University of Arizona’s Stevie Eller Dance Theatre. The best and most unique part is the post performance soiree where guests can tempt their palettes with decadent dessert from many of Tucson’s favorite restaurants. Dance & Dessert is truly a treat for the eyes and the mouth.

UA Gears Up for This Weekend's Tucson Festival of Books
Do you often escape the real world to a fantasyland of adventure, mystery, or even a romantic love story? We know your ailment – you are a classic bookworm. Well avid readers alike will gather this weekend, March 13 and 14, to celebrate literacy and discover more than 450 novels and their brilliant authors at the Tucson Festival of Books taking place at The University of Arizona’s outdoor mall.
Indian Art Market and Southwest Showcase
Fashion center La Encantada is hosting its first Indian Art Market and Southwest Showcase this upcoming weekend, exhibiting traditional and contemporary artwork reveling in handmade authenticity and ancestral passion. Among patio lunches and afternoon shopping, nearly 50 artists will be offering pottery, crafts, paintings, jewelry, and kachinas to name a few, that will displayed not only for sale, but for the celebration and appreciation of the Spanish Colonial, Southwest, Western, and Native American cultures.
Tucson Symphony Orchestra 2009-2010 Season
