Chihuly in the Garden

Credited with revolutionizing the studio glass movement, artist Dale Chihuly has brought an exciting twist to the Desert Botanical Garden which opened November 2013 and closes on May 18. Beautiful and intricate glass work combined with desert inspiration and vivid colors are spread throughout the garden for a truly mesmerizing experience. The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not

Wacky statues, oddities galore, and strange happenings are taking over the Arizona Science Center on Feb. 10-May 4. Robert Ripley’s perplexing illusions are making an appearance this spring showing the Valley the true science behind some of the world’s most intriguing and astonishing artifacts. Crawl through a life-size model of the prehistoric snake, Titanoboa, view a portrait of Einstein made out of toast, and even measure up to the world’s largest man (8’ 11” tall). Created by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, comes the “Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power” exhibit in Phoenix at the Musical Instrument Museum. This special exhibition illustrates rock and roll from its inception through today. More than 70 artists are featured as well as iconic costumes, artifact spotlights and instruments.
