It goes without saying that Mirabel Golf Club is one of the premier private golf membership offerings in the Valley of the Sun. Known for its exceptional Tom Fazio-designed golf course, stellar clubhouse amenities and prime North Scottsdale location, The Mirabel Club used its notoriety to host an exceptional event this past weekend for a great cause—fighting cancer.
Golf for the Cause Cancer Fundraiser, hosted by the Mirabel Club, was a three-day golf and lifestyle event for members and their guests that began on Friday and ends today. For non-golfers or golfers who didn’t participate, the philanthropic opportunity extends on one special Sunday in April.
The Mirabel club will be joining in on a joint fundraising event with the Scottsdale Best Buy store at 15448 N. Pima Road (Frank Lloyd Wright and 101) that is open to the public on Sunday, April 11th. The in-store event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 11th, and will include information tables, vendor displays and a prize raffle. One percent of all sales that evening will be donated to Mirabel Golf for the Cause and used to continue helping the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center and the Scottsdale Clinical Research Institute find cures for cancer.
The benefits are two fold; help progress cancer research while making a purchase you were going to make anyway. I know there are a few items on my wish list that I’ve been meaning to get my hands on, this event serves as ideal incentive to finally purchase them.
