Kathy reveals new deadline for "Tribute to Leadership" nominations.

I just chatted with Regina Edwards, CEO of the YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix … and great news.

The YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix has extended it’s deadline for nominations for its 22nd annual Tribute to Leadership. So, if you’d like to nominate someone who's made a difference in our community, there’s still time! Oct. 1, 2015, is the new deadline. The honorees will be recognized at the Tribute to Leadership Gala on Feb.13, 2016.

The event celebrates the accomplishments of leaders who strive to improve the lives of women and girls through leadership, advocacy, and community service.“We have recognized so many fabulous women in our community, ” says Regina who's pictured above with board member Catherine Scrivano. “The selection committee is a group of community leaders who really truly embrace out our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.”

The February event will recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of the honorees. So if you know a candidate who is a leader  who champions civil rights, diversity, social justice, and programs to empower women and exhibit and embody the mission of the YWCA - you are encouraged to nominate them.

Pictured below are the 2015 honorees Hilary Barnes, Dana Wolfe Naimark, Patricia F. Rourke, Shelley Cohn, Dr. April Osborn, Patty White, Rachel Gutierrez, Alice Wells, Bruce Liggett and Robbin M. Coulo.
